Frequently asked questions

How do I join this project?

The best thing you can do is to join our growing community in Discord, follow us on Twitter, and help spread the word through your friends, family, and network. We are building an active community keen to support Ukraine.

Once the NFTs are launched, connect your digital wallet and buy (“mint”) the NFTs. If you have pre-registered (see Participate section), we will also send you a reminder email. The more NFTs are sold, the more support we can provide to Ukraine.

If you are interested in other ways to help directly, please reach out to one of the team members in Discord for guidance or email.

What do I get if I join this project?

A unique opportunity to help Ukraine: we are pioneering a way to bring funding to those that need it most.

In addition, you can redeem the iconic Obolon beer bottle with the NFT as its label (Shipping cost not included. Claiming and receiving are subject to rules of your location for both delivery & age requirements).

We are very eager to share this commemorative and collectable piece, also as a means of appreciation for your support.

Looking forward towards helping in the rebuilding of Ukraine, the team is working on additional future utility for NFT holders - keep an eye on our upcoming announcements!

What are NFTs?

NFT stands for non-fungible token. They exist on the blockchain (in this case Ethereum) and represent a unique asset, like a piece of art.  You can think of it as an irrevocable digital certificate of ownership and authenticity for a given asset.

The actual unique image of your purchased NFTs will only be revealed after the mint. However, there will be some cool sneak peaks of the amazing NFT artwork in the build-up to the mint date.

What is a crypto wallet?

A blockchain or crypto wallet is a way to manage, secure, and use cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) and other digital assets based on a blockchain (for example, an NFT). There are two basic types of blockchain wallets: software wallets and hardware wallets. When you buy the NFT, you will receive it in your wallet.

Do you issue refunds?

Since transactions on the blockchain are irreversible, we cannot provide refunds. We have no ability to cancel, revert or modify any transactions on the Ethereum blockchain.

Can I track the NFT sales proceeds?

Yes, that's the beauty of blockchain. You can review every transaction that occurs. We will be releasing the 4 public addresses this project will use. Their activity can be tracked on Etherscan. Join us in Discord to see periodic updates on project progression.

I’m an artist, can I participate?

Yes, absolutely! Please join us on Discord and look for the “artists” channel or email us directly at hello@obolon.io and we can engage & discuss the possibilities. We are always looking for additional artists that may want to donate a unique 1/1 to support the cause.

Can I participate as a company?

We are very interested in broad partnerships with companies and organizations.  Please reach out to us at hello@obolon.io with a subject heading of “Commercial Participation” and we will engage with you around more details and possibilities.

About Obolon

If there was ever a company to symbolize the independent
spirit of modern Ukraine it would be Obolon.

The 1980 Olympic Games were viewed by the Soviet Union as their opportunity to impress the world. One of the ways they sought to do this was by producing a world class beer and they set out to build Europe’s biggest and best brewery. Following the fall of the Soviet Union, Obolon made history in 1992 as it became the first private enterprise of independent Ukraine, receiving privatization certificate number 1 of the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
